WTS (What the Swift)?
What the Swift is a blog about iOS and macOS development. There are multiple articles focusing on Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit.
It's quirky. It's fun. Sometimes it might be cringe (sorry). But it's always accurate.
Documentation with Visual Examples
My motivation for creating this blog was that the official Apple Developer documentation lacks visuals. I wanted to see how a certain code snippet or view looks without always having to run a sample app in Xcode.
For SwiftUI views, there are no images in the official documentation. Often the documentation lacks explanations. The definition of a component is there, but there are no examples or use-cases. It's overly technical and "raw".
What the Swift changes that. Articles feature code alongside images and videos, making it easy to visualize the results without running the code.
Cross-Platform Coverage: iOS and macOS
Most articles around SwiftUI cover only iOS development. There are few tutorials out there that cover macOS too, and even those focus mostly on one platform while leaving out the other.
What the Swift covers both iOS and macOS in the same articles. Because a lot of things exist on both platforms, it's easier to see the similarities and differences when they're side-by-side.
Jokes, fun, and memes (LOL, XD and WTF WTS)
This blog tries to bring a bit of playfulness to technical documentation. It contains jokes, references, and easter eggs. Most of them are funny, some just try to be, and some are simply for entertainment.

The What the Swift title also references a well-known feeling developers face.
